THE Basement Doctor to run in
'Strides for Steph'...he needs your help
'You have breast cancer'. Those are terrifying words no woman should ever have to fear. But once said, women and their families begin to wonder, 'Will I live?', 'What's Next?'.
I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know someone who has battled this terrible disease. I'm asking for your help in raising funds because I think it's important that we all join together to help win this battle.
And I desperately need your help.
On February 26, I'll be running alongside 250 other passionate people in the 'Strides for Steph' 5K run/walk during the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer Research.
My personal goal is to give the Stephanie Spielman fund a check for $5,000. It's a big number in a short amount of time, but it's doable. I'm asking - begging - everyone I know to help with a donation.
I'm asking our vendors, our staff AND YOU to please send us a donation. I know times are tough for many folks. I get that. But as the saying goes, many hands make for light work.
All our auction monies are going to the Stephanie Spielman Fund at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute who do their important work here in Columbus.
Donations can be made online via a PayPal link at MyBasementDoctor.com or mailed into: The Basement Doctor, % Strides for Steph, 13659 E Main St Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.

Please donate by March 16th.
The money is used at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute in Columbus Ohio.
Last year's Cruise generated over $500,000 for the cancer fighting fund.
About Stephanie Spielman
Stephanie Spielman was first diagnosed with breast cancer in back 1998, when she was just 31. She established the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research after her initial diagnosis, considering it her life's mission to raise awareness and money.
She became a public figure known for her public outreach regarding breast cancer, and was a frequent sight at many Komen Columbus events and the Race for the Cure. Stephanie served as the emcee and keynote speaker for several cancer fighting events.
Through unwavering dedication, the Spielman's research foundation and more than 100 other special events they organized, Stefanie and her famous football star husband, Chris, raised $6.5 million for breast cancer research for the Ohio State University's Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
The Spielman's orginally hailed from Massillon, Ohio, famous for its Tiger's football. Infants there often have a tiny football placed in their cribs.
