Why Do My Basement Walls Get Wet?

When the sealant on the outside of the foundation wall breaks down, there will be wet soil laying directly against your block wall. Concrete walls, especially block, will absorb the moisture, allowing water to “wick” through the block. However, If you have active water seepage into your basement, don’t rely on wall coatings alone to solve the problem. It may be necessary to install a waterproofing system with the wall coatings to ensure that you have complete protection.

How Do You Waterproof a Wall?

There are many ways to waterproof a wall, but the most reliable is to use wall panels. Wall panels are completely waterproof and provide a bright white finish.
