Project Description

Problem:

Heather submitted an estimate request via www.mybasementdoctor.com, highlighting bowed walls and settlement issues. Heather called into The Basement Doctor to give further details on what was going on. She stated her basement was finished, but had some sloping in the floor. The house was built on a hill but there were vertical cracks on the exterior brick. Heather stated the sloping in the floor had been there for a quite a few years, but the brick was really a concern for them. The foundation was a cinder block foundation. Heather scheduled a free consultation with The Basement Doctor to find a solution to their settlement issues.

Solution:

The Basement Doctor sent project manager Curtis Cline out for an assessment of the foundation. Curtis is a thorough project manager and has been assisting Ohio homeowners for quite some time. Curtis was faced with one main objective: to find the problem, and prescribe a solution! After the initial assessment, Curtis thought it would be wise to have a structural engineer take a look at the foundation as well. This would give an even more detailed analysis of the root issue. The report revealed stair step cracks on three sides of the home. Once Curtis obtained the report he prescribed 20 piers. Piers are a proven method of support that usually restores the home’s foundation to its original level. After further discussion Heather and John agreed to move forward with The Basement Doctor. Our Basement Doctor crew was on the job to ensure the piers were installed successfully. Heather and John were given the peace of mind that they needed. Trust was earned, and the goal of customer satisfaction was achieved.

Customer Quote:
